At Cymru Global, Hayley focuses on connecting Wales with the world and strengthening understanding. Hayley has been an activist for environmental and social justice since her school days. She is an experienced project manager, was Deputy CEO at the Wales Community Recycling Network, worked with the Sustainable Development Commission and\u00a0 spent a decade as Research and Policy Officer with Oxfam Cymru. She remains passionate about taking local action on global issues and is a big fan of doughnut economics!<\/p>\n<\/div><\/div><\/div>

Shaela joined Cymru Global\u00a0 in 2015 and helped to establish a fully functioning finance department. A qualified AAT Accountant with experience of private sector and charity finance, she oversees all aspects of the finance department and prepare the management reports, payroll, annual report, banking and investments, contracts and related HR aspects. She also works closely with project leads to manage the financial administration of externally funded grants and projects, and with the venue team to manage venue finances.<\/p>\n

Born and raised in Cardiff, a mum of two, of Bangladeshi descent, she is an advocate for cultural integration, a desire to raise awareness and encourage discussion of global and political issues within ethnic and disadvantaged communities in Wales. She loves to travel and explore different cultures, religions and cuisines!<\/p>\n<\/div><\/div><\/div>

Amber is responsible for the design, delivery and management of our Global Learning programmes for youth and schools across Cymru Global. Her role includes delivery, management and project development but she also has a strategic role in evaluating what learning is most sought after in Global Citizenship and in developing learning partnerships across Wales.<\/p>\n

Amber has a background in Education and previously taught across the Primary sector for fifteen years. She has also worked with Theatre in Education and Global Learning Groups to provide innovative approaches for students in primary and secondary settings, helping individuals who are disengaged with learning to rebuild their confidence within it. Amber is a zealous reader and a lover of crime dramas and cats.<\/p>\n

\u201cWhat I\u2019ve learned from working with young people is that so much comes down to your attitude. If you believe you can make a change happen then you always really can. A lot of our work is about people not being afraid to stand and fight for the things that matter most to them. You can do it through simple acts of kindness but also by writing to politicians and influencing decision makers in your community. The world needs more people who are willing to fight for the right things and I think if more people did, we\u2019d have a much better world to live in.\u201d<\/em><\/p>\n<\/div><\/div><\/div>

Sam\u2019s early career was orientated around the outdoors, nature and people. During this time, Sam set up and managed companies that specialised in coaching, getting people out into nature and onto many of the World\u2019s most beautiful rivers. Sam ended up coaching the British national team to over 30 medals at international competitions and competing himself at the international level for a number of years in his chosen discipline of whitewater kayaking.<\/p>\n

Alongside these companies and his own training, Sam has always been involved in a series of social enterprises, environmental initiatives, charities, community events and environmental advocacy campaigns and has used his award-winning companies as a force for good in the communities in which they operate. As climate and nature emergency became more central in Sam\u2019s work, he worked as a sustainability consultant, and program manager for environmental and conservation projects, and cofounded\u00a0Biodiversity Alliance<\/a>, a charity in Uganda working on community led solutions to the biodiversity crisis. Now based back home in Wales, Sam has sold his companies, and he now spends all his working hours running Climate Cymru!<\/p>\n

\u201cThe Climate Cymru campaign is centred around meaningful and fair action to address the climate emergency and will gather voices from all areas and demographics of Welsh society. As partners or people sign up, they tell Climate Cymru what is important to them and the responses received will shape the campaign\u2019s communication and advocacy at COP26 and to county councils, Welsh and UK governments.<\/em>\u00a0<\/em>Ultimately, the people of Wales own the message.\u201d<\/em><\/p>\n<\/div><\/div><\/div>

Anita is a seasoned social entrepreneur and strategist passionate about a just transition to a wellbeing economy in Wales.\u00a0With a background in management consulting, she has applied her skills to developing foundational economy and community projects, successfully leading bids\u00a0from grass-roots initiatives to regional \u00a3multimillion programmes.\u00a0Her diverse experience includes mentoring for Social Business Wales, serving as a Powys County Councillor, and designing an innovative digital platform for community-led skills sharing. Inspired by her Quaker beliefs, Jane has been active in work to promote peace and human rights for many years, including with Amnesty International<\/a> and with peace groups such as Cymdeithas y Cymod<\/a> (the Fellowship of Reconciliation in Wales).\u00a0 The aim to build peace from the grassroots up has taken her to exciting places. In the 1980s she joined a group called \u2018Women to Women for Peace\u2019 which aimed to build bridges between people from countries with opposing political systems and ideologies.\u00a0 Since 2004 she has been involved with individuals and organisations working for peace in Israel and Palestine, and in 2012 spent 3 months on the West Bank as an \u2018Ecumenical Accompanier\u2019<\/a>, providing protective presence for the local population and reporting on human rights abuses. Jane also visited Iran on a \u2018civilian diplomacy\u2019 visit with the US Fellowship of Reconciliation in 2007.\u00a0 She aims to live out peace-making in her day-to-day existence, which is not as glamorous but often more challenging than being part of international initiatives!<\/p>\n

Jane loves languages and sees them as vital windows into different ways of seeing and experiencing the world. Her former career took her from being Head of Dept for Modern Languages at Ysgol y Cymer in RCT,\u00a0 to 6 years as Wales Education Advisor for the\u00a0NSPCC<\/a>, and 6 years in Welsh government as lead for children\u2019s rights and young people\u2019s participation.<\/p>\n

Jane joined the (then) Welsh Centre for International Affairs in 2015 as Education Coordinator for the\u00a0Wales for Peace project<\/a>.\u00a0 In her current role as Peace Education Manager, she leads a small team which is aiming to develop peace education strategically in schools, colleges and communities across Wales.\u00a0 This work includes maintaining and developing a network of Peace Schools and Colleges<\/a>, running an annual Young Peacemakers Awards<\/a> together with Llangollen International Musical Festival, producing resources and working with a range of partners.\u00a0 She is passionate about the ability of children and young people to make a difference as peacemakers and \u2018ethical, informed citizens of Wales and the world\u2019.\u00a0 Her favourite quote is from Margaret Mead: \u201cNever doubt that a small group of thoughtful committed citizens can change the world: indeed it\u2019s the only think that ever has.\u201d<\/em><\/p>\n

In her free time, Jane enjoys reading, learning languages, cooking and swimming as well as spending time with her wonderful grandchildren, Rhodri and Ffion.<\/p>\n<\/div><\/div><\/div>

Rebecca Leyla is a youth practitioner, peace educator, and futures thinker based in Wales, with over six years\u2019 experience co-creating gender justice and youth leadership programmes across Europe, Africa, South East Asia, and South America. Grounded in her Persian heritage, she advocates for young women and people with diverse gender identities, from historically silenced communities, to lead global conversations.<\/p>\n

Since 2022, she has worked on peace education by organising events such as the Young Peacemaker Awards at the Llangollen International Musical Eisteddfod, leading annual Peace School Conferences, and supporting a young peace ambassador network in collaboration with Academi Heddwch Cymru. She also works for the Future Generations Commissioner for Wales, supporting leadership programmes that equip young people to influence long-term policy and sits on Restless Development\u2019s Walking the Talk steering group, shaping feminist youth advocacy in global spaces.<\/p>\n

Having lived in five countries, she believes collective power, care, and imagination are how we disrupt oppressive systems and build something better, because we\u2019re not just inheriting the future, we\u2019re reclaiming it.<\/p>\n<\/div><\/div><\/div><\/div>\r\n<\/div><\/div>

Ar \u00f4l bod mewn triniaeth barhaus a chemotherapi ar gyfer Canser yr Esgyrn ers 2016, mae Craig yn llysgennad gydag elusennau canser fel Canolfannau Maggie’s<\/a> a Myeloma UK. <\/p>\n

Cyn ymuno \u00e2 WCIA, roedd Craig yn Rheolwr Rhaglen Ryngwladol gyda Chyngor Gweithredu Gwirfoddol Cymru<\/a> (WCVA) rhwng 2007 a 2014, lle datblygodd raglen Cysylltiadau Cymunedol Cymru Affrica<\/a> . Cyn hynny, roedd yn gweithio’n helaeth yn y ‘sector cymorth’ fel Cydlynydd Ymgyrchoedd Cymru gydag Oxfam Cymru<\/a> , gan arwain gwaith ar ‘ Gwneud Tlodi yn Hanes<\/a> ‘, ‘Rheoli Arfau’ (sicrhau Cytundeb Masnach Arfau Rhyngwladol) a Masnach Deg<\/a> . Yn 2006, cafodd ei secondio i Raglen Cymorth Tsunami Oxfam Rhyngwladol yn Indonesia, gan adeiladu heddwch yn nhalaith Aceh a oedd wedi’i tharo gan drychineb a gwrthdaro, ac yn ystod y cyfnod hwnnw, ysgrifennodd ‘Blog o Banda’<\/a> a gafodd broffil sylweddol. Mae Ffion Fielding wedi gweithio yn y sector amgueddfeydd a threftadaeth yng Nghymru ers dros 20 mlynedd, gan ddechrau ei gyrfa fel swyddog dysgu yn Amgueddfa Hanes Genedlaethol Sain Ffagan. Mae ganddi gymhwyster TAR mewn addysg \u00f4l-orfodol, ac roedd ei gwaith yno yn canolbwyntio ar ddysgu oedolion a chymunedol, gan weithio mewn partneriaeth ag ystod eang o sefydliadau. Yn 2014, symudodd i rweithio mewn \u00f4l fel cydlynydd ar gyfer prosiectau ‘Mae Cymru’n Cofio 1914-18’ ar draws Amgueddfa Cymru ac mewn partneriaethau cenedlaethol, ac yn 2015 ,ymunodd \u00e2 WCIA am dair blynedd fel cydlynydd cymunedol ac arddangosfeydd gyda’r prosiect ‘Cymru dros Heddwch’. Yno, bu’n gweithio gydag amgueddfeydd, llyfrgelloedd ac archifau ar draws Cymru i gyd-gynhyrchu arddangosfeydd a chasglu treftadaeth heddwch gyfoethog Cymru gyda gwirfoddolwyr. Dyma hefyd lle y daeth \u00e2 diddordeb cyntaf yn stori’r Ddeiseb Heddwch. <\/p>\n

Ymunodd Ffion ag Academi Heddwch o’i r\u00f4l ddiweddaraf fel rheolwr prosiect arddangosfeydd gydag Amgueddfa Cymru, gan reoli arddangosfeydd a pherfformiadau mawr a bach, gan gynnwys arddangosfeydd teithiol cenedlaethol a’r strategaeth ar gyfer digwyddiadau cenedlaethol, gan weithio gyda phartneriaid ar draws Cymru. Yn ddiweddar, cafodd ei secondio am gyfnod i ddarparu cefnogaeth ymgynghori a chynghori i uwch reolwyr ar strategaeth 10 mlynedd newydd Amgueddfa Cymru – gan ymgynghori \u00e2 staff, cymunedau a rhanddeiliaid eraill. Yn flaenorol, roedd yn Ddirprwy Is-Ganghellor dros Ymchwil, Cyfnewid Gwybodaeth ac Arloesi ym Mhrifysgol Aberystwyth lle bu hefyd yn dal Cadair UNESCO mewn HIV\/AIDS a Diogelwch Iechyd, sef Cadair UNESCO gyntaf Cymru. Cafodd ei ethol yn Gymrawd Academi’r Gwyddorau Cymdeithasol, yn Gymrawd Cymdeithas Ddysgedig Cymru, yn Gymrawd Cymdeithas Frenhinol y Celfyddydau ac ef oedd derbynnydd cyntaf ‘Gwobr Cyflawniad Arbennig’ Gwobrau Ymchwil Gymdeithasol Cymru. Roedd yn Gynghorydd Arbennig i Bwyllgor Amddiffyn T\u0177’r Cyffredin, yn Gadeirydd Cymdeithas Astudiaethau Rhyngwladol Prydain, yn Gadeirydd Comisiwn Cenedlaethol y DU ar gyfer UNESCO ac yn cynrychioli’r DU ar Fwrdd Gweithredol UNESCO a’i Gomisiwn Gwyddorau Cymdeithasol a Dynol. Mae Rebecca Leyla yn ymarferydd ieuenctid, addysgwr heddwch, a meddyliwr dyfodol sy’n byw yng Nghymru, gyda dros chwe blynedd o brofiad o gyd-greu rhaglenni cyfiawnder rhywedd ac arweinyddiaeth ieuenctid ar draws Ewrop, Affrica, De-ddwyrain Asia, a De America. Wedi’i seilio yn ei threftadaeth Bersiaidd, mae hi’n eiriol dros fenywod ifanc a phobl \u00e2 hunaniaethau rhywedd amrywiol, o gymunedau sydd wedi’u tawelu’n hanesyddol, i arwain sgyrsiau byd-eang. <\/p>\n

Ers 2022, mae hi wedi gweithio ar addysg heddwch drwy drefnu digwyddiadau fel Gwobrau Heddwch Ifanc yn yr Eglwys Gerddorol Ryngwladol yn Llangollen, arwain Cynadleddau Ysgolion Heddwch blynyddol, a chefnogi rhwydwaith llysgenhadon heddwch ifanc mewn cydweithrediad ag Academi Heddwch Cymru. Mae hi hefyd yn gweithio i Gomisiynydd Cenedlaethau’r Dyfodol Cymru, gan gefnogi rhaglenni arweinyddiaeth sy’n cyfarparu pobl ifanc i ddylanwadu ar bolisi hirdymor ac yn eistedd ar gr\u0175p llywio Walking the Talk Restless Development, gan lunio eiriolaeth ieuenctid ffeministaidd mewn mannau byd-eang. <\/p>\n

Benjamin has professional experience with international research institutes and private companies, including the International Institute of Tropical Agriculture and RISEF SARL, in roles such as capacity building officer, research assistant, and end-line evaluation supervisor. Passionate about sustainable agriculture and food security, he volunteers with Climate Cymru, where he serves on the Advisory Group and leads as the Coordinator for Climate Cymru Ethnic Minorities. Bethan\u00a0is part of the politics and advocacy team and has previously worked with Climate Cymru on the Warm This Winter campaign. She<\/span>\u00a0is a former Senedd Member for South Wales West, and was the youngest woman elected to the Senedd. She is a proud advocate for women\u2019s rights and community engagement in politics, and\u00a0<\/span>campaigns on<\/span>\u00a0environmental justice.\u00a0She\u00a0chaired<\/span>\u00a0Wales against Open casting while in the Senedd, and mobilised communities to fight for restoration. She has carried out freelance political influencing work with organisations such as Oxfam Cymru, and has led workshops across Wales on how the Senedd operates. Bethan is a qualified swimming teacher, and in her spare time, she enjoys the gym, travelling, and spending time with her son at soft plays and farms!<\/p>\n<\/div><\/div><\/div>

Clare oversees Climate Cymru\u2019s network, including partners, volunteering and ambassadors, with a focus on diversification of the movement.<\/p>\n

Committed to promoting diversity and inclusion in the environmental sector, she aims to combat poverty and protect the planet. As an accredited participatory action research practitioner, Clare has led collaborative projects with grassroots organisations, NGOs, corporations, and academic institutions.<\/p>\n

She worked for over 15 years in the housing and homelessness sector and later on, at Techniquest.<\/p>\n<\/div><\/div><\/div>

She has done extensive research on the link between climate change and language loss among Indigenous communities, advocating for urgent environmental justice. Sam\u2019s early career was orientated around the outdoors, nature and people, when he managed companies that specialised in coaching and getting people out into nature.<\/p>\n

He coached the British national team to over 30 medals at international competitions, competing himself at the international level for a number of years in his chosen discipline of whitewater kayaking.<\/p>\n

Sam has always been involved in social enterprises, environmental initiatives, charities, and environmental advocacy campaigns. He worked as a sustainability consultant, and programme manager for environmental and conservation projects, and cofounded Biodiversity Alliance<\/a>, in Uganda working on community led solutions to the biodiversity crisis. Sam now spends all his working hours running Climate Cymru!<\/p>\n<\/div><\/div><\/div>

Stan is a climate policy expert, with experience in advising political leaders in Wales and internationally. He has worked across a number of policy areas for UK Government, such as the circular economy, net zero strategy, green finance, and was also a negotiator to the United Nations climate process where he represented the UK at two COPs. He returned to Wales to take up a role as Secretary for the Wales Net Zero 2035 Challenge Group, requested by the Welsh Labour Government and Plaid Cymru to explore ambitious, just pathways for a resilient and prosperous Wales.<\/p>\n

Beyond advising political leaders, Stan\u2019s passion is building civic agency within the Welsh public to respond to societal challenges such as climate change, and is highly interested in new forms of democracy. If he\u2019s not working, you will mostly likely find him riding his bike in the South Wales valleys or surfing in the Gower.<\/p>\n<\/div><\/div><\/div><\/div>\r\n<\/div><\/div>
