In this time, the organisation has grown to include vital work on global solidarity, climate change, peace, international exchange, global learning and global responsibility. This time has included merging with the international exchange charity UNA Exchange, launching the movement- led Climate Cymru partnership and establishing the hosting of Wales\u2019 first Peace Institute, Academi Heddwch.<\/p>\n<\/div><div class=\"container\">\n<p>Over this period, WCIA has supported over 20,000 people to take action on the global issues that matter the most to them, and over 100,000 to develop as active global citizens. There has also been progress in supporting understanding of what it means to be a globally responsible nation under the Well-being of Future Generations Act.<\/p>\n<\/div><div class=\"container\">\n<p>\u201cI\u2019m proud of the work WCIA does in inspiring people across Wales to believe they can make a difference on global issues, and to come together to take impactful action. There is an incredible team at the organisation who create an inclusive and creative culture and will continue the amazing work as a new Chief Executive joins the team\u201d<\/p>\n<\/div><div class=\"container\">\n<p>Sara Whittam, co-chair of WCIA\u2019s Board, said: \u201cWe are incredibly grateful to Susie for her leadership as the WCIA Chief Executive. She has worked tirelessly to realise the vision of the WCIA, and seen opportunities to innovate during times of change and significant challenge.
