Volunteer with Climate Cymru
At Cymru Global, we’re proud to host Climate Cymru, an active movement of around 400 organisations and thousands of individuals across the country. United by a shared mission to campaign for climate justice and a net zero, nature positive nation. Together with these like-minded businesses, innovators, community groups and educators, we’re working to drive collective action to address the climate and nature emergencies and build a better society.
Join the Youth Climate Ambassadors
The Youth Climate Ambassadors for Wales (YCA) is a democratic, youth-led initiative, which gives young people aged 13-25 years, based all over Wales, a voice and opportunities to take climate action. Although supported by Climate Cymru, all key decisions are made by YCA members, including a consultation group, which sits alongside the YCAs and is open to all young people in Wales.
The group campaign for a greener, fairer future—led by youth, powered by hope.
Schools
Delivering Climate Action Link in Schools
We’ve recently launched our Climate Action Link (CAL) schools programme, which is now the core of our volunteer work. This is your chance to inspire the next generation and show that climate action can be positive and practical.
As a CAL volunteer, you can:
• Lead assemblies and workshops in schools across Wales
• Run interactive activities that show pupils how they can make a difference
• Signpost older pupils to the Youth Climate Ambassadors network
• Share your own story to motivate and inspire
• Help schools connect with Climate Cymru campaigns and become Climate Cymru Schools
• Support our monthly schools newsletter with tips, guides, and highlights
• Use our Imagine Action resources and ready-to-go presentations
• No teaching background needed — we provide resources and support.
Youth
Youth Climate Ambassadors
Become a member of the Youth Climate Ambassadors and foster youth voice and take climate action.
Submit your interest to volunteer with us via the application form. Please select “Climate” in the form to support Climate Cymru and “Youth Climate Ambassadors” to join the YCA.
