Volunteering with Cymru Global, in Wales and around the world, is an opportunity to put shared values into action while contributing to a more peaceful, fairer, and healthier world. Across Wales, we work closely with community partners to offer meaningful volunteering opportunities within our programme areas of Peace, Climate, Heritage, and Global Learning. These opportunities invite people to take part in local action on global issues—whether through supporting peace education, climate justice initiatives, heritage projects, or global citizenship learning. Volunteers can also get involved through Temple Friends, helping to care for the Temple of Peace as a living space for learning, dialogue, and connection. Together, these Wales-wide opportunities create inclusive spaces where people of all backgrounds can contribute, learn new skills, and feel a sense of belonging while making a positive difference in their communities.
Alongside our work in Wales, Cymru Global offers international volunteering opportunities rooted in exchange, solidarity, and mutual understanding. For over 40 years, we have worked through trusted partner networks in the Alliance and CCIVS, developing long-standing relationships that ensure our volunteering responds to real community needs and is ethical, meaningful, and community-led. Volunteers can take part in short-term international workcamps, typically lasting two to three weeks, where groups from different countries live and work together, share meals, and engage with local communities. We also offer longer-term placements with our CCIVS partners across Europe, Africa, Asia, and the Americas.
Through volunteering at home and abroad, we aim to make participation accessible to all, fostering connection, learning, and shared purpose while empowering people in Cymru to act together as global citizens.
