Peace Education
Peace education is the process of acquiring the knowledge, skills, values, attitudes and behaviours to live in harmony with ourselves, others, and the natural world.
Cymru Global’s Peace Education Programme works with people of all ages to explore what peace means to them and to develop the confidence, knowledge and skills to build peaceful schools and communities.
Participation and partnership are the core of everything we do with schools, community groups, and adult learners.
We develop learning resources and training on peace heritage, social and emotional wellbeing, and peer mediation, while also holding peace conferences and celebrating young people’s achievements through the Peacemaker Awards. People are empowered to understand, reflect, and take action to make their communities and the wider world more peaceful.

Each year, Cymru Global and Academi Heddwch recognise the enterprising efforts of young people seeking to build a better world, through the Young Peacemakers Awards – bestowed at the prestigious Llangollen International Eisteddfod.
