Get inspired with changemaking

At Cymru Global, we want everyone to feel hopeful and empowered to take  an active role in the world they are part of. This section is for anyone who wants to get involved in our active campaigns, who wants to find out more about the issues they care about or wants to start their own projects.

Check out Amber’s blog on why it’s good to care

“In a world that frequently tells stories of hopelessness and loss, it can be hard to care. Caring is effortful and difficult. Caring can be frustrating. However, caring is also the basis of long-term change. Change that takes place over decades and centuries, change that moulds societies and civilisations.”

Changemakers – Making Change Happen

Do you want to make a change in your community or the world? Not sure where to start? Don’t worry, we’ve got you covered with our Making Change Happen Project Planner and our Action Planning Sheet!

In this planner, we give you the tools you need to start to make the changes you want to see in the world.

We introduce you to different ideas of change, look at our Changemakers programmes, the changes we will make, the impact that can have and the effort it can take. We then support you to make your plan and look at some next steps.

Remember, small steps can make big changes. Take your first step here!

Planning your own Hustings

We are working with the Scouts to support you to plan your own Hustings. Firstly though, what is a Hustings?

A hustings is a meeting between people standing for  election and the people who will be choosing whether or not to vote for them. For the candidates, it’s a chance to answer questions and endear yourself to your voters. For the voters, it’s a chance to find out more about what these people want to do about the issues that matter.

We’ve made a handout as a step-by-step guide to carry out your own Hustings. We cover all of this in an online training and this booklet is here to provide you with tools and structures to support you in planning the event.

Please note this is here for you to use as far as it is useful. Don’t use what isn’t relevant!
